Sherman Health Named a 'Company That Cares' Fifth Year in a Row

Elgin, Ill. - Sherman Health is proud to be named a "Company That Cares" for the fifth consecutive year. This prestigious designation honors companies that demonstrate a commitment to employees and their communities. The Companies That Care Honor Roll is determined by the Center for Companies That Care, a national, not-for-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for employees and communities. The 2012 Honor Roll includes privately held and publicly traded organizations as well as not-for-profit employers representing 13 industries and eight states.
"We're so proud to have received this designation,' said Katie Bata, Vice President of Human Resources, Sherman Health. "We feel that it really speaks to the character of Sherman Health employees, and our commitment to giving back to the communities we serve."
Sherman Health, like the other companies named to the list, excels in the 10 Characteristics inherent to a "Company That Cares," which include: developing employees and leaders, supporting the pursuit of work/life balance, sustaining a work environment founded on dignity and respect for all employees, providing competitive compensation and benefits, volunteering in the community and more.
