Sherman Auxiliary Benefit Ball, March 6

Elgin, Ill. - The 46th annual Sherman Hospital Auxiliary Benefit Ball, "Dreams Do Come True," will be held at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, March 6, 2010, at the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel and Convention Center. Proceeds from the event will go towards the Auxiliary's $1 million goal for the Birthing Center at Sherman Hospital.

The black tie optional event, with complimentary valet service, will feature dinner, cocktails, and dancing to the music of "The Al Sofia Orchestra".

Raffle tickets, available at $50 each or three for $100, will give attendees the opportunity to win a one week luxury, two bedroom condo on Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii and partial air fare, a one night stay at the Four Seasons Hotel in Chicago and dinner for four at Gibson's Steakhouse, Chicago Cub tickets with limousine service and more.

Honorees for the ball include William Sheehy, M.D., as the 2010 Career Medical Service Award recipient, Mary Jo Sheehy for her years of volunteer involvement with Sherman Hospital and the Sherman Hospital Auxiliary, and Charles Burnidge for his long-standing service to Sherman Hospital, the Sherman Hospital Board of Directors, and the community.

Ball reservations are $150 per person. The Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel and Convention Center is offering Sherman Ball attendees a special room rate of $99, if booked before February 6, 2010. Attendees who make a ball reservation prior to February 14, 2010, will be entered in a raffle for an executive suite at the hotel, to be used the night of the ball.
